The Windows Phone recovery tool has been changed to avoid disable the phones of users. Microsoft intends to correct the problem that may have affected some Lumia 520 and 521.
Users who installed some Lumia Windows 10 and attempted to revert later to the original Windows 8.1 had a nasty surprise. In some cases, the phone firmware has been corrupted, unusable equipment. Microsoft states that already detected the cause for this problem: Recovery Tool was carrying data for the equipment at a faster rate than the phone holder. Thus, the phones were receiving data to 8MB per second in 2 MB blocks and start receiving 128 KB 5 MB blocks per second maximum, reports The Register.
Microsoft recommends that users download the latest version of Recovery Tool before attempting to repair the firmware of devices affected by this problem. The second measure was Microsoft also announced that Windows 10 will not be completely ready for the Lumia 520 and 521. The Redmond company wants to do some more tests this equipment.
There are reports from some users who were able to retrieve the phones with this solution, while others failed to do.
